A much better future

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11

God has plans for you, for every one of us. He will give you several signs and chances to grab what He has planned for you. But if you ignore and have been too stubborn to get what He has planned, He will do something drastic, even some overwhelming circumstances for you to realize that you must now heed His will.

Perhaps it was the most difficult part of letting go… letting go of something that you have enjoyed doing for the past few years, saying goodbye to the very familiar walls and hallways that silently greet you every weekday morning even if you are already dragging yourself to go to work, bidding farewell to some people whom you have spent some of the best moments of your life with, and realizing that you will now only occasionally see your true and real friends who have been with you through the crests and troughs of life. All of these have to be endured by a rough stone that really needed a lot of polishing.

But all of the hurt and pain are worth it. Good things come to those who trust Him, for He has plans. New colleagues, new bosses, more friends, better experiences, greater opportunities, and more blessings. New colleagues to share knowledge, ideas, and stories with; new bosses to impress, to help, and to learn from; more friends to share moments with; better experiences to gain new knowledge and insights; new systems to study and to improve; greater opportunities for career growth and personal development; and more blessings to share with others specially to those who really matter.

God is good. Everyone should know that. He brought me where I am today. He really took time to twist my ear and drag me out of there to bring me where I am today. For everything that the Lord has done, I am really grateful.

So if you see any of His signs, heed it. For He only has great plans for you, plans to give you hope and a future. A much better future.
